Reliable data starts with reliable infrastructure. I focus on keeping systems fast, stable, and cost-effective rather than adding complexity for its own sake.

Hybrid Cloud & Virtualization

Hands-on administration across Azure and on-prem VMware/Hyper-V environments. I set up secure, low-friction access using Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and keep identity management clean with Entra ID.

Practical Performance Tuning

Instead of throwing expensive cloud compute at slow workloads, I profile bottlenecks directly—whether that means writing better queries, adopting columnar tools, or offloading heavy compute to GPU acceleration (CUDA/RAPIDS) for measured 70x speedups.

Real-World Monitoring

Built a high-availability telemetry platform collecting real-time health data from 2,000+ distributed devices, giving support teams sub-second visibility so issues get caught before users feel them.

Data Engineering & Pipelines

I build straightforward pipelines designed to handle real-world edge cases, dirty inputs, and schema surprises without falling over.

Pragmatic Lakehouses

Structuring raw, messy inputs into clean, queryable datasets using the Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) on Microsoft Fabric.

Workflow Orchestration

Using Dagster for software-defined orchestration, building event-driven, idempotent pipelines with built-in asset checks and clear error tracing so failures are easy to debug.

A lot of my experience comes from healthcare and regulated spaces where bad data or stalled pipelines have immediate, tangible consequences.

Re-engineered stalled EDI claims pipelines for home care agencies (LHCSAs) to resolve blocked revenue cycles, and migrated legacy on-prem SQL setups to modern FHIR-compliant cloud architectures.
